Developing an AI Course Policy (Online workshop)

This online workshop provides space for participants to reflect on the impact of GenAI on their disciplines and professions. Following an overview of UCLA data about how students are using GenAI, participants will discuss the pros and cons of GenAI use in education. Afterwards, participants will draft a deliverable tailored to their teaching context, such as a syllabus statement, a revised assignment prompt that integrates or speaks to GenAI, or a communication plan for addressing GenAI in their course. Participants will peruse examples of each before working to give each other feedback in small groups. This session is designed for faculty, including professors, lecturers, and adjunct instructors.
